Read public-domain literature and copy it by hand, exactly as it is.
Typing Library is a transcription-style typing app where reading pace and input rhythm overlap on one screen. The original text stays in gray behind your input, and typos appear instantly without blocking progress.

Each transcribed paragraph carries something into the next.
Keep the thought that surfaced when a paragraph ended, then watch your accumulated practice reveal a rhythm of its own.
A question that opens the thought behind the sentence
After a paragraph, create one reflective question without sending the source text to an external server.
“Which image from this paragraph is likely to stay with you longest?”
Supported Chrome desktop browsers use on-device AI. Other environments provide a clearly labeled non-AI prompt.
A typing fingerprint that grows clearer with you
Turn precision, rhythm, immersion, exploration, and volume into one contour you can share without work details.
First contour · from 3 paragraphs
It does not identify your browser and uses only practice totals on this device.
One paragraph invites someone in. The next builds a ritual.
A public-literature invitation, one clear task for today, and a personal weak-character drill form one continuous loop.
Pass along exactly one paragraph you loved
After finishing a public passage, share a link that does not copy its text. Each person’s activity remains on their own device.
One clear thing to continue when you come back
Due reviews, overdue plans, today’s plans, recent valid drafts, and the daily passage are checked to surface the most useful next step.
Turn difficult characters into a literary drill
In supported browsers, built-in AI creates a short literary passage with weak characters. It is saved locally only after you preview and accept it.
With optional-cookie consent, public work IDs and invitation actions may be measured, but source text, personal-work information, drafts, weak characters, and generated text are not sent to Typing Library servers or analytics. Core flows and repetition drills still work when AI is unavailable or generation or validation fails.
Help
Why start without login?
Because your records and your own works are stored only on this device. There is no account to create, and what you type is not sent to a server.
Does typing stop when I make a typo?
No. The wrong character is marked in red, but input continues. At the end of the paragraph, the typo summary is shown again.
Do spaces and line breaks matter too?
Yes. This is about copying each sentence exactly, so spaces, line breaks, and punctuation must match the original.
Where do public works come from?
The original texts of public-domain works are kept apart from the app and loaded from there. That way works can be added or corrected without changing the app.
